Reading his phone, he blinked and sighed. Truly, Yosuke’s grammar was absolutely horrible. He shut one of his eyes and swiftly replied to his ‘partner’. 

You really think your dad would kick you out, Yosuke? That’s kind of overboard. Calm down, ‘partner’. Just tell him you want a little break from time to time, especially if you don’t really need it..

Whoops, looks like she’s been caught in the act.

“I’m afraid Japanese isn’t my first language, Narukami-san. Do pardon me if I stumble once in a while.”

Her expression is one that shows she’s quite sheepish. Was her inexperience that obvious? Time to make a mental note to purchase some books, and to brush up on the language.

“Understood. Thank you very much for your assistance, Narukami-san.”

With that, she’ll quietly trail after him.

“Haha,” he chuckled, turning his head to glance behind himself. “It’s quite fine. You’re doing great for a language that you’re not used to using.” Yu said with a nod, egging her on- because, well.. That’s just what Yu liked to do. He liked making people happy.

“Even so.. we’ll be to the Police Department in just a bit. About 10 minutes or so,” he said as he gazed back ahead, starting to pick up the pace. It was about a 2 block walk, so it wasn’t that bad.

That’s the correct honorific, right? Right. She’ll just go with the basics that she knows. Oh, this language isn’t the easiest of ones to learn….Hopefully she isn’t making too many errors. Her lips curved very slightly into a faint smile in response to the boy’s own.

“I….think I’d like that, Narukami-san. If you don’t mind, that is. I wouldn’t wish to be a hindrance.”

“You don’t speak Japanese, do you- Tessa-chan?” He asked in a gentle tone, raising a brow at her, though he kept that same, pristine smile on his face. Yu, pursing his lips and taking a deep breath, he nodded. “Then let’s go. Follow after me, please.”

Yu stated, as he began walking, as if he were some sort of tour guide- like he had said.

Police station? That’s a bit of a way from here, but she has time to kill. It’s not as if she hasn’t walked a longer distance before.

“The police station? I’ll stop by there, then. Thank you very much.”

Oh? A polite one, that will raise her spirits just a little bit. Her spirits have raised just a little bit, it’s not often that she’ll meet someone who exhibits basic manners and etiquette. Reaching out, she’ll grasp his hand, and firmly shake it.

“It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Narukami, sir. My name is Tessa.”

“It’s great to meet you, Tessa-chan.” He said quietly, firmly shaking her hand and removing his soon after- placing his hand back on his hip. With a small smile, he arched his brows up. “If you need help finding the Police Station, I can be your .. sort-of tour guide, for now- if that’s alright.”

Looks like she’s world hopped in her sleep again. Lovely. At least she knows this place, been here with Naoto once upon a time. It’s good that she knows the area fairly well this time, at least.

Perhaps she should try looking for her.

Catching sight of a gray haired student wearing the same uniform as her acquaintance, she strode over, gently tapping the boy on the arm.

“Excuse me, could you perhaps tell me where I might find Naoto Shirogane?”

Turning his head, as hearing a voice- and as well as self-muttering, Yu glanced upon a blonde, resting his hand on his side and raising a brow. “Huh?.. Naoto-kun?” 

“Well.. I don’t know exactly where she’d be.. but she’s probably hanging around the school. Or the Police Station now that I think about it..” He muttered offhandedly, looking back up. “Oh, where are my manners?” Yu chuckled to himself for a moment, reaching out a hand.

“I’m Yu Narukami. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
